The idea of getting into a warm cozy bed after a hard day’s work is like a total bliss.  When we get so busy in our life, we tend to sacrifice sleeping.  Some of us tend to consider sleep as “luxury” and the first thing that we deprive ourselves with. • It keeps your heart strong and in good health by lowering levels of stress and inflammation in the body as well lowering blood pressure and heart-rate.
• Sleep also lowers levels of stress hormones in the body.  Sometimes, when you can’t sort things out, some people will tell you “sleep on it”.  This to lower your stress hormones and minimize bodily pressures.
• Sleeping helps us learn new skills.  According to a research, REM sleep is essential for learning how to do things.
• Sleep can help control body weight in a way that it regulates the hormones that affect our appetite.

There are other things that are less observable about sleep but are vital to the quality of our daily lives.  Not getting enough sleep has its price – mentally and physically.  Our disposition or moods are affected by how much sleep we got the night before.  Mental and physical reactions are also affected.  We should note that a lot of accidents have happened because of a sleepy driver.  Insomnia results to absenteeism and lower productivity at work.
